黄宇乐教授

黄宇乐博士是康复治疗科学系物理治疗(荣誉)理学士课程主任,并担任香港理工大学智龄研究院副院长。他是香港注册物理治疗师,在香港大学获得骨科硕士学位,并在加拿大艾伯特大学获得康复治疗科学博士学位。

黄博士的研究利用人工智能等先进技术来研究脊椎疼痛、疾病和康复,重点是腰痛、腰椎管狭窄和青少年特发性脊椎侧弯。他曾在《柳叶刀-风湿病学》和《骨与关节外科杂志》等顶尖学术期刊上发表了超过 140篇经常被引用的论文。他的研究成果广受全球认可,为他赢得了国际脊椎侧弯矫形与复健治疗学会2019年最佳论文和香港第31届老年学年会2024年杰出论文等奖项。自2023年起,他位列史丹福大学发表的全球首2%科学家「年度科学影响力排行榜」(骨科)。根据 Expertscape 的数据,他是研究「腰痛」和「背痛」方面排名最高的亚洲学者。

黄博士曾受邀在世界各地,包括在哈佛大学陈曾熙公共卫生学院和悉尼大学发表演讲。他在香港和澳洲成功指导了许多硕士和博士生,而其博士毕业生在香港和英国亦担任学术职务。他的学生已获得 40 项本地和国际研究奖项。

黄博士积极推进骨科和康复治疗领域的教育和研究。他是国际脊椎侧弯矫形与复健治疗学会的董事会成员、国际腰椎研究学会的教育委员会成员和前亚太区代表、以及香港物理治疗学会的执行委员会成员。此外,他还担任 BMC Musculoskeletal Disorders Hong Kong Physiotherapy Journal Journal of Orthopaedics, Trauma and Rehabilitation的副主编,并且是多份学术期刊的编辑委员会成员。
