Kathlynne is a pediatric physiotherapist with more than a decade of experience in managing neurodevelopmental disorders. She completed her physiotherapy qualification at the University of the Philippines. She was an Erasmus Mundas scholar at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium) where she completed her MSc in Adapted Physical Activity. As a clinician, Kathlynne aims to enable young children to achieve the best possible health and development outcomes.
In her research, she hopes to bridge the gap between research and practice, and contribute to evidence-informed practice. Thus, Kathlynne’s research for her PhD aims to explore pediatric physiotherapists’ use of motor learning strategies for children with neurodevelopmental disorders. Specifically, she is interested in the use of attentional focus instructions and feedback in the context of pediatric physiotherapy sessions in telehealth settings.
