Mega Japan Culture Days 2021 – A Trip to Kyushu and Okinawa

In collaboration with the Consulate-General of Japan in Hong Kong, the Department of Chinese and Bilingual Studies has successfully organised the Mega Japan Culture Days 2021 on 2-3 November 2021 and received more than 1,200 participants in two days. This fun and educational event aimed to bring PolyU participants a full Japanese cultural and linguistic immersion, allowing participants to gain first-hand cultural experience and achieve effective communication through face-to-face interactions with native Japanese speakers from Kyushu and Okinawa. Moreover, students taking subjects of the Minor in Japanese programme presented their work to Japanese officers and PolyU participants as part of their class assessments.
