丘经纬博士于香港理工大学接受物理治疗教育及训练，是一位拥有丰富临床经验的注册物理治疗师。他毕业后曾于本地公立医院执业超过十年，并于不同的临床岗位工作，服务范畴遍及深切治疗至社康物理治疗，并对治疗筋肌骨骼病症、于日常工作运用各种运动治疗方法及处理慢性痛症病人特别感兴趣。

为实践其对康复治疗研究发展的兴趣和对教育下一代的抱负，丘博士到澳洲悉尼大学进修并取得医学硕士(疼痛管理)学位，其后于香港中文大学获得哲学博士(麻醉及深切治疗)学位。凭藉其在学术及研究上的卓越表现，丘博士于攻读博士学位时获颁数个奬学金支持。在加入理大康复治疗科学系前，他于香港中文大学接受博士后培训，负责统筹多个为衰弱病人预备的术前复康研究计划。丘博士的研究兴趣包括各种运动治疗、衰老症管理、围手术期复康及疼痛管理。

丘博士除担任本学系助理教授外，他还获邀兼任香港中文大学麻醉及深切治疗学系之客席助理教授，更获选为香港物理治疗师协会之委员。
