- The programme runs from simple to complex, using various teaching methods to develop students' problem-solving skills.
- The programme embraces introductory and applied subjects in
mental health nursing. Biological science, social science, psychology,
language, General Education and humanities subjects will also be taught
to develop students' understanding of the biological and psychosocial
dimensions of the human condition and mental health care.
- The subjects covers fundamentals of mental health nursing;
medical and surgical nursing; mental health nursing therapeutics in
hospital, rehabilitation and community; fundamentals of nursing
therapeutics in Chinese Medicine; mental health education and promotion;
communication skills; psychotherapeutic practice, neurobiological basis
in mental health care and quality and patient safety in healthcare.
- Supervised clinical practicums are organised to integrate theory and practice.
