Moving to Hong Kong was the most significant turning point of my life. With a genuine passion for design, which stems from my interests in composing visual elements to communicate, I have been capable to develop my career path as a full-time in-house graphic designer. It has always been a pleasure to build expertise and work with talented people from the field. In order to continue to grow and achieve my professional goals, I am eager to develop more in-depth knowledge and skills in design through pursuing further studies at the School of Design of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

I firmly believe that I would be successful in the master’s programme because of my dedication to the pursuit of academic excellence and my desire to learn. During my undergraduate studies, I managed to perform at peak academic levels and graduated as one of the top students in the class, obtaining summa cum laude distinction. All design courses that I participated in, such as Design Thinking and UI/UX Design, provided me with a solid foundation of design methodologies and skills. I shall also note that my capabilities were demonstrated and recognised by numerous design awards such as iF design awards.

After entering the professional world, I have gained invaluable experiences in delivering creative and engaging solutions across brand values, print, and digital media. Working in dynamic international and local enterprises has also enabled me to strengthen my efficiency and communication skills. I have grown into a dependable team worker who can use my own initiative, adhere to strict deadlines and deal with problems in a resourceful manner. I am also a skilled communicator who listens actively and provides constructive feedback. I am confident that my solid design experiences, together with my positive qualities and my multi-cultural background would help me excel in the postgraduate studies.

Upon the completion of the master’s programme, I desire to be a contributing member in the design industry in Hong Kong. It is my ultimate goal to be recognised as an impactful designer who is knowledgeable and capable of inspiring others.
