My eagerness in pursuing further studies in Master of Design (Design Strategies) is driven by my determination to achieve excellence in my current job, which involves various projects with the public interest. In addition, I worked closely with our team in projects designed for the elderly, notably in designing an interactive information kiosk. This kiosk not only promotes the elderly's interest in technology but also facilitates the operation of the elderly care home by providing caretakers with information for better understanding the needs of the elderly.

In my current role, I was challenged with tasks that require planning strategically to achieve a wider goal on top of ordinary design skills. I also need to factor into my design various practical constraints. As such, I feel that it is not sufficient for a UI/UX designer to merely design a piece of work. They also need to be practical in the design process. Hence, I would like to pursue further in this Master degree to learn more about how UI/UX designers can collaborate even better in a project team and make even more valuable contributions to society.

When I was an undergraduate student, I strived for excellence in my academic studies. I always approached my design projects with a critical attitude. I was interested in particular projects aiming at needed groups in the community, such as diabetes and Parkinson's disease patients, and I attained outstanding grades. Apart from studies, I also enjoyed participating in student activities, such as sports competitions and photography contests. I tried to reach out to more people as I believe interest in people is the key to innovative design.

Through this Master programme, I am determined to prepare myself better for challenges as a UI/UX Designer to serve the community to the best of my abilities. Therefore, it would be my honour if I could be awarded Targeted TPG Programmes Fellowships to pursue this further studies.
