STAFF UPDATES
Dr Gordon Hao joined the SHTM as a Postdoctoral Fellow on 31 December 2012.

Dr Robert Li joined the SHTM as a Visiting Associate Professor for six months from 3 January 2013. Dr Li is currently an Associate Professor at the School of Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management of the University of South Carolina (USC), and Associate Director of the USC’s Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Travel and Tourism Industry Center and International Tourism Research Institute. His research focuses on destination marketing and tourist behaviour, with a special emphasis on international destination branding, customer loyalty and tourism in Asia.

Dr Stephen Pratt joined the SHTM as an Assistant Professor on 7 January 2013. Dr Pratt received his Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Economics from the University of Sydney and his PhD in Business and Management from the University of Nottingham, UK. He previously worked as a Senior Lecturer at the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management at the University of the South Pacific (USP), based in Suva, Fiji. His research interests include the economic impacts of tourism, destination marketing, cruise tourism, film tourism, sustainable tourism and cultural tourism. He recently received the USP’s Vice Chancellor’s Award for Best Research Publication for 2011.
Ms Katrina Li has been promoted to Senior Executive Officer with effect from 1 February 2013.


Mr Wai-Lap Chung joined the SHTM as an Assistant Designer on 13 March 2013.
Professor Brian King assumed the role of SHTM Associate Dean (Executive Education and Partnership) on 22 March 2013. As the third Associate Dean of the School, Professor King will focus his efforts on strengthening the SHTM’s partnerships with the industry relating to taught postgraduate programmes, ie. the D.HTM, Executive Masters, and MSc degrees, which will embrace the duties of Postgraduate Programme Director.
