Professor Brian King was invited to be a member of the jury panel at a cooking competition themed "Low Carbon Dishes" hosted by the Yuen Long Catholic Secondary School on 12 March 2016. To improve pupils' understanding of healthy food and the relationship between parents and children, participants needed to collaborate with their parents in cooking and introduce the low carbon dishes to the jury panel. Nine primary schools joined the competition, with the winning dish,
"Gold Roll of Green Power", coming from a student at the W F Joseph Lee Primary School.
