On behalf of the SHTM and the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute, Dr Fred Mayo will deliver a Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE) Workshop on the School's premises from 9 to 12 July 2019.
Leading to professional certification, the workshop will offer intensive, interactive learning experiences. It will expose participants to the latest global principles and help them to acquire the skills they need to provide the best
educational experience for hospitality students.
The workshop's focus on interactive teaching skills will be especially useful to instructors with strong industry backgrounds, but all hospitality educators will benefit from the continuing education and professional development offered.
After completing the CHE requirements, participants will be able to sit an examination on the final day to earn certification from the American Hotel and Lodging Association's Educational
Institute. Prized worldwide, the Certified Hospitality Educator designation indicates that the holder has demonstrated the qualities needed to become an effective hospitality educator.
The SHTM is proud to have been associated with the Educational Institute of the American Hotel and Lodging Association in offering CHE Workshops since 2003.
