Dr Basak Denizci Guillet presented a paper titled "What Can Educators Do to Better Prepare Women for Leadership Positions in the Hospitality Industry?" at the Tourism Research and Education Forum of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau and ASEAN in Guangzhou, China on 31 October - 1 November 2019.
Professor Sam Kim was invited to deliver lectures on "Enhancement of Research Capability" to graduate and undergraduate students from Hainan University on 7 November 2019.
Dr Barry Mak attended at the IRES-712th International Conference on E-Education, E-Business, E-Management and E-Learning in London, UK on 7-8 November 2019.
Professor Rob Law was invited to deliver a speech on "Smart Hotel: Challenges and Future" at the MGS Summit 2019 in Macau on 12-14 November.
Dr Mimi Li presented a paper entitled "Young Overseas Chinese Diaspora Tourism and Construction of National Identity" at the 2019 Tourist Behaviour Research Conference in Nanjing, China on 16-18 November.
Dr Basak Denizci Guillet was invited to deliver a speech on "Challenges and Opportunities of Teaching Revenue Management" at the 3rd Revenue Management & Pricing in Services Conference in Lausanne, Switzerland on 2-4 December 2019.
Professor Cathy Hsu and Miss Regina Wang presented the showcase "The HKPolyUx MicroMasters Programme" at the Reimagine Education Conference 2019 in London, UK on 8-10 December. The MicroMasters in International Hospitality Management was shortlisted for the Wharton-QS Reimagining Education Award under the Best Distributed Program for Nurturing 21st-Century Skills award category.
Mr Jonathan Sutton participated in the panel discussion "Driving Change in Learning Behaviours Through Micro-Learning Solutions" at the Global Forum for Education and Learning in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on 16-18 December 2019.
