ACHIEVEMENTS AND RECOGNITION
With the support of the SHTM, more than 30 of its students served as volunteers providing logistical support to the Hong Kong Masters 2022 snooker tournament from 6 to 9 October. The event provided a valuable real-life educational opportunity for students to learn outside the classroom and witness the organisation of a professional world-class event. Organised by the Hong Kong Billiard Sports Control Council, the tournament was staged at the Hong Kong Coliseum with around 9,000 spectators attending the final and setting a record for the largest live audience at a snooker tournament.
D.HTM student Mr Robin Ning, with MSc in International Hospitality Management student Ms Ive Ip and BSc in Hotel Management student Mr Anthony Liu, formed the team that took third place at the STR Student Market Study Competition (Asia Pacific Edition) held virtually on 4 November 2022.
