IMPACT2024 Explored Tourism and Hospitality in the Age of Transformation
Organised by the SHTM and the Research Centre for Digital Transformation of Tourism (RCdTT) in collaboration with STR SHARE Centre, the IMPACT2024 Conference was held on 11-13 October at Hotel ICON, Hong Kong. The conference was managed by a group of talented SHTM undergraduate students from the Practice of Special Events Class.

With the theme of "Tourism and Hospitality in the Age of Transformation," IMPACT2024 offered an excellent opportunity for stakeholders to meet and discuss transformative trends, exchange insights, share research findings and practices, explore creative pathways and envisage strategies to shape the future development of the hospitality and tourism industry.
ISTTE Annual Conference 2024 Successfully Hosted @SHTM

The International Society of Travel & Tourism Educators (ISTTE) is global organisation of educators in travel, tourism, hospitality and related fields representing all levels of educational institutions. Hosted by the SHTM, the 43rd ISTTE Annual Conference was held at Hotel ICON on 14-16 October 2024.

ACHIEVEMENTS AND RECOGNITION

Recently Prof Haiyan Song, Prof Cathy Hsu and Dr Eric Chan of the SHTM were recognised by Stanford University as among the world's top 2% of scientists throughout their careers in the field of "Sport, Leisure and Tourism". In addition, 12 SHTM faculty members were recognised as among the world's top 2% of scientists for the year 2023.
