World Rankings Topped by SHTM

The SHTM continues to remain in the upper echelons of international rankings, claiming the top spot in the "Hospitality and Tourism Management" category of ShanghaiRanking's Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2024.

This is the eighth consecutive year in which the SHTM has been recognised as the world's No. 1 by ShanghaiRanking, a globally respected institution. The School won first place in 2017, the first time the Ranking included the "Hospitality and Tourism Management" academic subject category, and has held the top spot ever since.

Annual UN Tourism/PATA Forum on Tourism Trends and Outlook Successfully Held in Guilin

Jointly organised by the UN Tourism (United Nations World Tourism Organisation) and the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), the 2024 UN Tourism/PATA Forum on Tourism Trends and Outlook was held in Guilin, China from 18 to 20 October 2024.

Tripartite Hospitality Programme Celebrating 10 Years of Excellence

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the tripartite Master of Science in Global Hospitality Business (MGH) programme, three international leaders of hospitality and tourism education – the SHTM in Hong Kong, EHL Hospitality Business School (EHL) in Switzerland, and the Conrad N. Hilton College of Global Hospitality Leadership at the University of Houston (UH) in the US – came together to sign a Memorandum of Understanding to ensure the continuation of this innovative educational strategy.

ACHIEVEMENTS AND RECOGNITION

Dr Peng Shen and The Hon. Perry Yiu, received the Outstanding PolyU Alumni Award (Entrepreneurial Achievement) 2024 and Outstanding PolyU Alumni Award (Professional Achievement) 2024 respectively at the award presentation ceremony on 16 December.
