SHTM Study Recommends Creating Integrated Tourism Cluster Brand for the Greater Bay Area
Tourism is considered a key industry in the Greater Bay Area (GBA), which sets its sights on becoming a world-leading destination. The SHTM recently released its policy study findings on the strategies and potential for creating an integrated brand tourism cluster by leveraging the strengths of the cities within GBA. The study has been supported by the Public Policy Research Funding Scheme of the HKSAR Government.
Career Expo Connecting Students and Employers

On 28 March, the School hosted its 2025 Career Expo, providing opportunities for graduate and undergraduate students to meet potential employers in the hospitality and tourism industry.
21st Asia Pacific Forum for Graduate Students Research in Tourism to be Held in Hong Kong

Organised by the SHTM, the 21st Asia Pacific Forum for Graduate Students Research in Tourism (APF) will be held from 14 to 16 May 2025 in Hong Kong.
The 3rd "One Belt • One Road • One Tourism" International Conference: Third Announcement and Call for Papers

The 3rd "One Belt • One Road • One Tourism" International Conference is being co-organised by the Hospitality Management and Tourism School of Central Asian University and the SHTM, and will be held on 24-27 June 2025 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Building Bridges Between Students and Hoteliers at Rosewood Day

Following the success of the past two Rosewood Day events, the SHTM and Rosewood Hong Kong again joined forces to host this signature event on 21 February 2025.
Modelling Excellence through Mentorship

Since 2002, the SHTM has paired full-time hospitality and tourism students aspiring to build careers in the industry with seasoned industry professionals who provide tailored advice and guidance. More than 220 participants attended this year's SHTM Mentorship Programme Award Presentation cum Luncheon Meeting on 8 February.

The SHTM continues to remain in the upper echelons of international rankings and recognised the world over for its outstanding reputation and commitment to global excellence in hospitality and tourism education and research.
SHTM VISITORS

17 March – The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Jerusalem

Prof Noam Shoval, Professor, Department of Geography, Faculty of Social Sciences, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, led a group of 37 staff members and undergraduate students visited the SHTM and Hotel ICON.

Prof Catherine Cheung, Prof Ada Lo, Dr Angie Luo, Dr Ibrahim Mohammed, and 23 postgraduate students visited the Spectrum of the Sea, a luxury cruise ship, on 12 January 2025, to support Luxury Experience learning and to enrich the Luxury Management knowledge of the students.
