New Undergraduate Programmes for 2025/26

Starting from the 2025/26 academic year, PolyU has expanded its admission pathways for students, providing them with more flexibility and options to customise their studies based on their interests. Students with specific academic goals can directly choose their preferred departmental schemes or programmes. In response to society's changing needs, several new programmes have been introduced, and some changes have been made to existing ones to keep up with advancements in the field. Those who want to explore their interests further can enrol in one of the seven new bachelor’s degree schemes to better understand different majors within a discipline.

The newly launched Bachelor’s Degree Schemes:

Seven new bachelor's degree programs are available, catering to students' interests in a variety of fields.

Bachelor’s Degree Scheme in Interdisciplinary Studies: This scheme is tailored for high-achieving students and provides personalised coaching and extensive mentorship to support students in exploring different academic areas and selecting or even creating their own major. This approach allows for more self-directed and flexible learning.

Other Bachelor’s Degree Schemes include:

The Bachelor’s degree scheme is designed to give students a wide range of choices for exploring their interests within their chosen discipline. Whether students are admitted through the bachelor’s degree scheme or a departmental scheme/programme, all students in the same discipline start with a Common Year One curriculum. This curriculum provides a strong foundation and flexibility for students to choose or switch programmes within the same discipline towards the end of the first year of studies. Students of a bachelor’s degree scheme can secure a degree programme through a ranking assessment, which takes into account their entrance qualification score, Year One GPA, and interview performance. This process also applies to students admitted through a departmental scheme/programme who wish to switch to another programme.
