Faculty Collaborative Research Scheme
between Social Sciences and Health Sciences
The setting up of the Faculty Collaborative Research Scheme between Social Sciences and Health Sciences in the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences is to encourage and promote interdisciplinary research studies between the social sciences and health sciences disciplines in the Faculty.
The projects to be funded by this scheme are expected to address major health and social concerns/problems in a community and would be assessed for their ‘community impact’. There is no restriction on the setting or vicinity of the community for the proposed study.
It is anticipated that the Scheme will serve as a platform to encourage cooperation between the above two disciplines, and provide groundwork for leading to submission of applications for external funding schemes or publications in high quality research journals.
Applications received on or before 11 November 2024 will be reviewed in one go. Depending on the funding situation, the Dean will decide whether applications received after this date will be reviewed at all. For enquiries, please contact the Secretary of the Faculty Research Committee at fhss.email@polyu.edu.hk.
