The Laser Materials Processing Centre in the PolyU which has played a key role in introducing laser processing technology to the manufacturing industry in HK and China. We are interested in the area of high-power laser sintering, welding, cutting and surface engineering, advanced manufacturing technologies and more.

3D Micromac Preximac SPS (Pico-second laser, fundamental wavelength of 1064nm, for marking, cutting, and drilling)

M-SOLV MSV200W (2kW fiber laser system, wavelength of 1070nm, for welding and surface engineering work)

DMG Lasertec40 (Nano-second laser, wavelength of 1064nm, for micro engraving processing)

Pulse Via UV laser driller machine system  (Nano-second laser, wavelength of 355nm, for glass drilling)

SPI fiber laser (100W fiber laser, wavelength of 1090nm, for cutting and surface engineering work)
