郝建華教授團隊的研究成果於Nature Communications發表 (只有英文版本)

Prof. Jianhua HAO, Chair Professor of Materials Physics and Devices and Member of Photonics Research Institute (PRI), and his team’s research was published in Nature Communications. The research titled "Direct Observation of Intrinsic Room-Temperature Ferroelectricity in 2D Layered CuCrP₂S₆"   Nature Communications is one of the world’s top journals which covers a variety of scientific topics from physical sciences to earth and environmental sciences. 理大研發電催化還原系統　將二氧化碳轉化成塑膠原料

北京大學肖雲峰教授在理大光子技術研究院傑出研討會系列上發表演講 (只有英文版本)

The Photonics Research Institute (PRI) Distinguished Seminar was successfully held today.   Prof. Yun-Feng XIAO delivered an insightful distinguished seminar on the topic of Ultra-high-Q microcavity optics and photonics.   We would like to extend our gratitude to Prof. XIAO for his invaluable contribution to the seminar and our sincere appreciation to all the participants who attended the seminar.   We look forward to hosting more enlightening seminars in the future and hope to continue providing a platform for learning and growth.

楊莫教授, 張阿平教授及黃冬梅博士獲得香港理工大學工程學院的科研經費成就獎 2022 (只有英文版本)

We are pleased to announce that three Photonics Research Institute (PRI) scholars, Prof. Mo YANG (BME), Prof. Aping ZHANG (EEE) and Dr Dongmei HUANG (EEE), won the Faculty of Engineering Research Grant Achievement Award 2022.   with a view to recognize the outstanding performance of FENG academic staff members in securing external competitive research grants, Faculty of Engineering Research Grant Achievement Award has been set up by the Faculty Research Committee since 2003.   Congratulations to the Winners for the Faculty of Engineering Research Grant Achievement Award 2022!

Dr Guang YANG, member of Photonics Research Institute (PRI), was awarded as a Young Editorial board Member of Nano-Micro Letters. 劉伯濤教授當選2024美國光學學會院士 (只有英文版本)

Prof. Alan Pak Tao LAU, one of the Management Committee Member in Photonics Research Institute (PRI), has been elected a Fellow of Optica for 2024 for his substantial contributions on developing digital signal processing techniques for optical communication systems.   The Board of Directors of Optica (formerly OSA), Advancing Optics and Photonics Worldwide, recently elected 129 members from 26 countries to the Society’s 2024 Fellow Class. Optica Fellows are selected based on several factors, including outstanding contributions to research, business, education, engineering and service to Optica and our community.   Fellows are Optica members who have served with distinction in the advancement of optics and photonics. The Fellow Members Committee reviewed 216 nominations submitted by current Fellows. As Fellows can account for no more than 10 percent of the total membership, the election process is highly competitive. Candidates are recommended by the Fellow Members Committee and approved by the Awards Council and Board of Directors.
