Eligibility

  • Non-final-year students of 53455, 53455SY, 53482 and 53081 programme with an “active” study status in Semester 2, 2023-24

Academic Performance (Cumulative GPA)

  • At least 3.2 or above (for Overseas programme)
  • At least 2.5 or above (for China programme)
  • Good grade in clinical subjects

Language Proficiency

  • Good in English / Mandarin / other languages

Preferences

  • Senior Year Students
  • Students who never joined any exchange programme

Application Procedures

Application Period

  1. All eligible students will receive an invitation email from SN
  2. Check SN Webstie for the latest exchange programme offers in academic year. Due to limited quota, student can only select ONE overseas institution and ONE mainland china institution.
  3. Complete the online application form provided in the email. Confirmation email will be sent to your mailbox.
  4. Result will be announced by emails 3 weeks after submission deadline.

Successful Applicants

  1. Students are suggested to follow up their applications with the host institutions directly. Confirmation letters are normally received about 3-5 weeks after submission of application.
  2. Students should NOT purchase flight tickets or reserve accommodation before receiving official confirmation letter.
  3. Upon receiving the confirmation letter, students could apply for the Student Exchange Sponsorship and/or Financial Subsidies for Overseas Exchange Programme via GEO and WIE
  4. Students should also seek subject selection approval from student exchange coordinators for credit transfer.

You are only required to pay your PolyU tuition fee and do not need to pay addition tuition to your host institution as it is a reciprocal arrangement.

When you do your financial budget for your exchange, please bear in mind you need to include the following, but not limited, to your budget.

Roundtrip flight ticket
Accommodation
Visa application fee (If necessary)
Personal Travel Insurance*
Daily expenses (meals, laundry, etc.)
Activities fee (as per host institution)
Text Books and stationeries

*Basic insurance is covered by the school while students are still required to purchase personal travel insurance based on your own needs.

SN will assist in the application of WIE Sponsorship and GEO Short-term Non-local Study Fund for eligible PolyU students. Individual application is not required for the mentioned sponsorship and Fund.

You may visit SAO and GEO for funding details.

Once you receive the official admission offer from the host university, you should apply for your student visa. Check out the detail visa applications through consular affairs' websites.
