• Induction of ocular hypertension by cannulation
• Injecting polystyrene microsphere into the anterior chamber
• Intra-vitreal or sub-retinal delivery of viral vectors, drugs or synthetic peptides
• Emulation of optic nerve lesion/protection by compression or partial nerve cut
• Induction of diabetic retinopathy by administering streptozotocin
