Features:
HITACHI L-8900 is engineered to detect 20 natural amino acids in pico-mole level in various types of samples included protein hydrolysate, food, beverage, as well as physiological fluid fully automatically. L8900 is composed of three parts, a liquid chromatography system, reaction unit and photometer. Mixture of amino acids is first separated by ion exchange chromatography. Then, the eluted amino acids are reacted with ninhydrin to produce product compounds either purple or yellow in color. Subsequently, absorbance at 570nm and 440nm of the product compounds are measured by the photometer.
Specifications:
Column: 4.6 mm I.D. x 60 mm L. Packed with HITACHI custom ion exchange resin (for detecting natural occurring amino acid in protein hydrolysate, food and beverage samples)

Notes to users:
First-time users must be trained by equipment-in-charge before they can use the instrument independently. Users should prepare their samples using appropriate methods to minimize blockages of the liquid chromatography system as well as contaminations of reaction unit and photometer. If users need guidelines on sample preparation, users are welcome to contact with equipment-in-charge.
