【#WeArePolyU】What would you like to achieve as a scientist?
“I want to investigate not only fundamental science, but also niche applications of our research that can benefit our society.” Prof. Yan’s aspiration to improve people’s lives had inspired him to carry out multidisciplinary research projects at the University of Cambridge and the National Physics Laboratory in the U.K. He continues to live out this commitment at PolyU, where he leads a research team to develop impactful research ranging from a highly sensitive biosensor that can measure glucose level in saliva, to efficient semitransparent solar cells.
