【#WeArePolyU】Why did you choose to be an educator instead of a hotelier?
“I hope to make impact on people’s lives. What could be more rewarding than watching my students grow professionally and become global leaders in the hotel industry?" Prof. Kaye Chon comes from South Korea. In his childhood, he dreamt of visiting 100 countries but eventually found his calling in hotel management education. With the vision to nurture outstanding talent in international hotel management, Prof. Chon turned his love for travel into a passion for education. Having served PolyU for 18 years, he has led our School of Hotel and Tourism Management to its place as a top institution in the world for its discipline.
