1. What is the role of optometrist in the health care system?

Optometrists are health professionals trained to provide comprehensive eye and vision care, such as eyesight correction and diagnosis of common conditions related to the eye or vision.

2. Is Optometry a recognized profession?

Graduates are eligible for direct entry to Part I of the Optometrists Register of the HKSAR.

3. What is the number of student intake each year?

53 students (The quota is indicative only and subject to changes or confirmation).

4. Are there any tips to improve my chance of entering the Optometry Programme?

- Good HKDSE results in relevant subjects
- Putting Optometry as the 1st Choice
