A group of 18 students and 2 faculty members from University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Singapore HFTP Chapter visited the SHTM and its facilities.

13 October – Lao National Tourism Administration, Vientiane, Laos
Ambassador Vang Rattanavong, Vice Chairman of Lao National Tourism Administration, Dr Khongsy Sengmany, Director General, Technical Vocational Education and Training of Ministry of Education in Laos and Mr Peter Semone, Director of the Lao National Institute Tourism and Hospitality, visited the SHTM and looked over its facilities.

Mr Hiran Cooray, Chairman of Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), visited the School.

3 November – Hengyang Normal University, Hunan, China
Led by Professor Liu, President of Hengyang Normal University in Hunan, China, a delegation of six members visited the School and its facilities.

4 November – Zhejiang Vocational College of Commerce, Zhejiang, China
Professor Jia, Chairman of the Zhejiang Vocational College of Commerce, and five colleagues visited the School.

4 November – University of Quebec, Montreal, Canada
Mr Sylvain St-Amand, Director of UQAM's Office of International Relations, visited the School and its facilities.

22 November – Nankai University, Tianjin, China
Professor Chang-hong Bai, Dean of the School of Tourism and Service, Dean of China Tourism Management Institute of Nankai University in Tianjin, China, Ms Jie Guo, Director of Administration Office, College of Modern Distance Education and Mr Gang Shao, Assistant Dean of School of Advanced Studies and Vice Director of EDP Centre visited the SHTM.
