Appreciation Reception for Scholarship and Bursary Donors 2022/23

During the 2022/23 academic year, PolyU received from over 270 donors a total of HK$43 million for use as scholarships or bursaries; these funds have benefited over 2,200 PolyU students. An appreciation reception was held on 14 April 2023 at the PolyU Global Student Hub in honour of the generous contribution by the donors. 

Certificates of appreciation were presented to specific donors in recognition of their support to the University’s scholarship and bursary schemes for over 15 years. Two donor representatives also spoke about their beliefs and motivations for supporting PolyU and Hong Kong’s education. During the reception, two talented scholarship awardees performed violin and yangqin recitals for the philanthropic donors and other beneficiaries.

SHKP – KWOKS’ FOUNDATION x POLYU Building Homes with Heart Scholarship Programme

Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP) – Kwoks’ Foundation Limited launched the “SHKP – Kwoks' x PolyU Building Homes with Heart Scholarship Programme” in 2022/23 to support a maximum of 56 outstanding students to pursue studies in construction, real estate and engineering-related disciplines at PolyU from the 2022/23 to 2025/26 academic years.

PolyU We Care Fund

“PolyU We Care Fund” was established to alleviate financial pressure on students who have insufficient support from their families or the government. The Fund aims to provide additional resources to eligible students so that they can focus more on their studies as well as participating in various purpose-driven initiatives and holistic development activities, including student-initiated caring projects, exchange learning, student leadership programmes and more.
