I would like to invite you to formally register as a member of the Community of Practice in Service-Learning (CoP-SL). Our goal is to continually enhance the design, delivery, assessment and evaluation of service-learning at PolyU.
All PolyU staff members from academic or academic support units who embrace the concept and ideal of SL, are committed to actively participate in the CoP activities and willing to make active contributions to the promotion of SL at PolyU are welcome to join us.
As a member of the CoP-SL, you will get a host of benefits designed to support your professional development in SL pedagogies, including:
Networking with other colleagues with a common interest in SL through regular lunchtime workshop/seminars/sharing sessions and bi-monthly gatherings;
Acquiring updated knowledge and skills in designing, delivering, assessing and evaluating SL courses and projects from interacting with other CoP-SL members and external speakers;
Funding support for staff development activities in SL through attending conferences/courses/workshops, conducting pedagogical researches or carrying out teaching development project.
