In 2021, Ms Emma Yu Sin-wan co-founded Dress Green, a social enterprise that has made a significant impact in the realm of sustainability. With a passion for repurposing, Dress Green has successfully rescued around 3,000 old uniforms and upcycled them into over 4,000 products such as accessories, bags, hats, and ornaments. This start-up supported by PolyU has not only breathed new life into discarded garments but has also fostered partnerships with more than 20 companies, including Kerry Properties and Veolia. By actively engaging unemployed textile workers, Dress Green has even provided over 3,500 working hours to local women and disadvantaged groups. These remarkable achievements have made Ms Yu one of the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2024.
