Mr Richie Chen – a young business leader on the list of 40 Under 40 by Fortune China in 2021 – co-founded the first unicorn start-up nurtured under PolyU’s entrepreneurship ecosystem. After its establishment in 2016, Hai Robotics launched HAIPICK, the world’s first autonomous case-handling robot (ACR), which effectively solves the pain points of warehouse operation through increasing customers’ storage density by 80% to 130%, together with a threefold to fourfold improvement in efficiency. To date, the company has sold more than 1,500 robots to notable clients from a wide range of industries, including DHL, Philips and State Grid, in more than 20 countries.
