Prof. To Chi-ho is a visionary in the field of optometry. He stands tall as one of the brilliant minds behind the groundbreaking inventions of Defocus Incorporated Soft Contact (DISC) lens and Defocus Incorporated Multiple Segment (DIMS) lens. The former claimed the Grand Prize and Gold Medal with Jury’s Commendation at the 39th International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva, and the latter received the Grand Prize, Grand Award, and Gold Medal, along with the Congratulations of the Jury at the 46th International Exhibition. Prof. To’s contributions to optometry have earned him numerous distinctions, including his prestigious appointment as an Honorary Member of the Hong Kong Association of Private Practice Optometrists. He also serves as a Member of the Scientific and Medical Advisory Board of Retina Hong Kong, further cementing his position as an authority in the field.
