Before assuming his current role, Dr Wan Shibiao was a Bioinformatics Research Scientist at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a top paediatric cancer hospital in the US. With more than a decade of experience in machine learning, bioinformatics and computational biology, he has published over 40 articles in leading journals such as Genome Research, Nature Communications, Science Advances, Circulation Research, Briefings in Bioinformatics, and Bioinformatics. In addition, he is an Academic Editor for BioMed Research International, a Guest Associate Editor for Frontiers in Cell and Developmental Biology, Biology, and Frontiers in Genetics, as well as a TPC (Technical Program Committee) member for more than 20 machine learning-related international conferences. Having served as a reviewer for prestigious journals, Dr Wan received the Global Peer Review Awards (top 1%) in the “Cross-Field” and “Biology and Biochemistry” categories in 2019.
