In celebration of the Year of the Snake, over 20 talented alumni gathered for an evening of harmonious melodies and joyful camaraderie at the “Sing & Shine @ Alumni Atrium” event on 20 January.
The alumni brought together a mix of youthful energy and seasoned experience, filling the atmosphere with music, laughter, and unity as they sang a diverse collection of songs from various generations. The gathering was further elevated by the presence of Mr Darron Sun, President of The Computing Alumni Association of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and Prof. Henry Chan, Associate Professor and Associate Head of the Department of Computing, whose cover songs set a lively tone for the night.
Following the event, a new alumni body, tentatively known as the PolyU Alumni Singing Club, was immediately formed. It is going to provide a platform for members to continue sharing their passion for singing and exchanging thoughts on their musical experiences, fostering both new and old friendships.
The evening was a delightful fusion of music and new connections as alumni joined their voices in harmony. It was truly a night to remember, alive with the melodies of friendship, the joy of music, and the promise of new beginnings for the PolyU alumni community, united by their love for singing!
