In early March 2025, representatives from two overseas associations, namely The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Western Canada) Association and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Australia) Association, visited their alma mater. Travelling all the way from Vancouver and Sydney, they were warmly welcomed by the University.
On 5 March, Mr Mickey Tse, President of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Western Canada) Association, along with committee members, toured various landmarks on campus, including the newly opened University Gallery. Following the tour, they were pleased to meet with the representatives from the Alumni Affairs Office and the Global Engagement Office, who emphasised the importance of support from overseas alumni, especially in exploring partnerships and internships abroad.
Mr Bosco Lau, Former President of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Australia) Association, along with other representatives and friends of the Association, also visited PolyU on 12 March. The group met with Prof. Miranda Lou, Executive Vice President of PolyU, and Prof. Geoffrey Shen, Associate Vice President (Global Partnerships), Director of Global Engagement and Chair Professor of Construction Management of PolyU. They shared the latest development and achievements of the University.
