The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Jiangsu Alumni Network (PolyU JSAN) was officially established in Nanjing in July 2024. Approximately 70% of PolyU Jiangsu alumni reside in Nanjing and Suzhou, with senior executives and research personnel making up nearly 80%, and those with master's and doctoral degrees also accounting for nearly 80%. The vision of the Jiangsu Alumni Network is to “become a reliable platform and homeland for PolyU alumni in Jiangsu”, and its mission is to “enhance the university’s reputation, strengthen assistance among alumni, support innovation and entrepreneurship, and provide diversified values to society”. In essence, the network targets to serve our alumni, PolyU, and society.

Serving Alumni:

1. Assisting alumni in launching entrepreneurial projects in Jiangsu by establishing close connections with local government and capital, thereby supporting alumni innovation and entrepreneurship.

2. Assisting graduates with employment and career development in alignment with the talent policies of different regions in Jiangsu.

3. Organizing alumni chapter events to enhance knowledge, foster mutual support, host various club activities, enrich cultural and sports experiences, and strengthen alumni cohesion.

Serving PolyU:

1. Assisting the university and innovation research institutes in Jiangsu with various projects such as technology transfer and the commercialization of scientific achievements.

2. Strengthening the connection between the university and Jiangsu province, promoting exchanges and cooperation between alumni, local governments, local enterprises, and the university.

Serving Society:

1. Attracting skilled professionals and supporting entrepreneurial ventures within the alumni community to boost local economic development.

2. Contributing to society by founding or joining public welfare organizations and participating in various charitable activities.

Considering the distribution of alumni, the organizational structure of the Jiangsu Alumni Network features “one network, two centers,” with secretariats located in both Nanjing and Suzhou. Additionally, the network comprises several administrative departments, subchapters in various industries, clubs, and specialized project groups.
