On 14 October 2017, PolyU organized the “PolyU 80th Anniversary Alumni Reunion Luncheon” at Hotel ICON, attracting over 300 alumni and guests.
President Prof. Timothy W. Tong thanked all alumni for joining the event and shared with them the latest developments of the University. Mr Alex Wong Chun-bong, President of the Federation of PolyU Alumni Associations, encouraged the alumni to continue to support University development and actively participate in upcoming alumni activities.
Highlights of the event included lucky draw and musical performance by alumni and friends of PolyU. The climax of the event was the live performance by The President's Band comprising Prof. Timothy W. Tong, PolyU students and alumni. Participants were delighted to meet with friends and staff of their faculties and schools in this occasion.
