- University of Warsaw (UW) is the leading University and best research center in Poland (National Ranking No. 1). It is in the top 3% of the world’s best Universities according to the global rankings such as THE, QS and ARWU. In 2021, UW performed very well in Shanghai’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS 2021), which included 9 scientific disciplines taught at the University. Mathematics and Physics were ranked 76-100 worldwide in their categories, respectively.

- The dual degree with BA (Hons) in Social Policy and Social Entrepreneurship and First Study Cycle in Social and Public Policy is jointly developed by the Department of Applied Social Sciences at PolyU and the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies at University of Warsaw (UW) for implementation from 1 September 2024.
- Schemed-based students who opt for Social Policy and Social Entrepreneurship as their major study from year two are eligible to pursue the dual degree programme by studying two years in each university including the 1st and 4th year at PolyU and 2nd and 3rd year at UW. They will be invited to indicate to study the dual degree programme before end of year one study.
- Admission to the dual degree programme is subject to student’s academic and interview performances. On top of it, they should meet one of the specified English language requirements such as IELTS, TOEFL, GCE, etc. To ensure comparable admission standards of students, UW reserves the right to review the applications of nominated students and has the final decision to admit dual degree students from PolyU. This is a vice versa arrangement for admission of UW students to the dual degree programme.
- Dual degree students will maintain their enrollment at PolyU during the mobility period at UW.
- The dual degree programme consists of regular courses available at UW and will be determined in consultation with academic advisors from PolyU and UW. All academic performance during the mobility period will be evaluated according to the rules of the UW, as appropriate.
- Credits obtained at PolyU will be officially recognized and transferred to UW when determining the individual study pattern for each student. Credits obtained at UW will be officially recognized and transferred to PolyU at the end of the mobility period. Each university will use its standard procedures for credit transfer (Faculty of Political Science and International Studies approval at UW and departmental approval at PolyU).

- Upon successful completion of the dual degree programme, students will receive two award parchments including BA (Hons) in Social Policy and Social Entrepreneurship and First Study Cycle in Social and Public Policy conferred by PolyU and UW respectively.
- UW will provide official transcripts (in English) to all PolyU dual degree students participating in the dual degree programme. Transcripts will include a list of all courses and credits taken at UW during the mobility period.
- Students admitted to the dual degree programme will be given departmental scholarships of HKD100,000 to support the living costs for their non-local study up to two years. Nevertheless, they should settle the tuition fees to PolyU as other students undertaking the normal four years of study.
