The road to be a professional engineer of BME is challenging. BME is a difficult subject that you have to manage both medical and engineering knowledge. As a matter of fact, when you enter the working world, it would be much busier. My advice to the students is to be open-minded, be willing to learn and never give up. You would be able to overcome most of the problems at work.

PolyU BME has a lot of good connections with different BME and P&O related companies and organizations. We always had different attachments and placements in the hospital. PolyU BME is well-equipped with all the devices and tools so that each student can get enough practice and knowledge needed in the workplace.

The knowledge learned in university such as from the electrophysiology lab, biomedical instrumentation lessons to attain the basic theory and knowledge of medical devices have helped me immensely in my career. The benefits I have gained from the course by learning medical technology management and regulation are very useful for my career. I believe that this knowledge is able to help me be unique as a BME graduate.
