Biography

Dr Tan received his BSc in vehicle engineering, MSc in automotive ergonomics, from Shan Dong University in 2013 and 2016, and PhD in biomedical engineering from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2021. He currently is a Research Assistant Professor of the Department of Biomedical Engineering. He has published more than 20 SCI journal papers and has been granted 4 Chinese innovation patents. Dr Tan has achieved several academic awards including Best Presentation Award for Young Investigator in the 8 WACBE World Congress on Biomedical Engineering and Best Paper Award for Poster Presentation in the 2019 China Biomedical Engineering Conference.

Dr Tan’s research interests include sports biomechanics based on experiment measurement and computational model, in-vivo muscle physiology measurement, non-invasive muscle fatigue assessment, and brain function evaluation based on functional connectivity and graph theory.
