Redevelopment of House of Innovation

Picture 1_r1

The House of Innovation (HoI), a double-volume single-storey building adjacent to Core P, will be redeveloped to provide modern academic facilities and amenity facilities for interdisciplinary research and development. Upon its completion in 2028, it will enhance the PolyU community’s academic experience and foster innovation on our campus.

Through this redevelopment effort, an additional 2,125m2 of academic space will be gained for the University. The design will feature staggered blocks with sleek horizontal façade elements, creating green terraces by blending nature into the heart of the campus. Setbacks below the podium level will maximise courtyard lawn space on the ground floor to create an inviting area for the PolyU community members to unwind and enjoy the nature.  Last but not least, the primary façade language will be a brick red palette, harmonising with the overall campus environment.
