The Launching Ceremony & The Second International FRP-SSC Workshop were held on 1-2 December 2018 at PolyU. The Launching Ceremony was held on Day One (1 December), which started with a welcoming speech given by Prof. Alex Wai, Vice President (Research Development) of PolyU. Prof. Chi-sun Poon then introduced the CEE Department and its recent research achievements. The Launching Ceremony concluded with an introduction of the TRS project by Prof. Teng. Presentations were then given by invited speakers, most of whom were involved in the TRS project. Day Two of the workshop was a closed-door meeting for the TRS project, which was attended by more than 40 team members and students involved in the project.
