Good news! PolyU CLC has newly launched a MOOC course which teaches Cantonese language and culture for global learners.
Do you know any relatives or friends who are of Cantonese origin? Or, are you yourself a Cantonese descendent? Do you want to go to places like Hong Kong, Macao, Guangdong one day? Or, are you already at one of these places? If any of your answers is yes, you may want to know some Cantonese language and culture so as to better communicate with people around.
Syllabus
There will be 4 modules in the course:
Module 1: Cantonese sounds & Common Expressions
Module 2: Eating & drinking
Module 3: Asking
Module 4: Self-Introduction
Apart from learning language and culture, you’ll have a taste of the university life at setting of PolyU HK, as well as the daily life as a person living in Hong Kong. You’ll have a wonderful learning experience. Come and join us!
