Congratulations to Prof. Y.Q. NI, Dr. Masoud SAJJADI, Dr. C.S. LIN, Mr. C. ZHANG. They received two patent certificates issued by Hong Kong Polytechnic University Shenzhen Research Institute (香港理工大學深圳研究院) on 25 January 2022. MTR-PolyU Collaboration Meeting

PolyU representatives hold a meeting with Dr. Tony Lee, Operations Director of MTR on 19th January 2022, Mr. Nelson Ng, Chief of Operations Engineering and Mr. H.K. Chan, General Manager-Engineering & Innovation Centre, joined the meeting. Both sides updated the collaboration status during the meeting. Dr. Tony Lee, Mr. Nelson Ng and Mr. H.K. Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park Limited 港深創新及科技園有限公司

Successful Application of Strategic Importance Scheme 2021/22 by CNERC-Rail

The project entitled “Engineering an Integrated Wireless Sensing System for High-speed Trains: System Design and Field Test” was awarded by the PolyU Strategic Importance Scheme with the project sum of HK$1,900,000.   The PI of this project is Dr. S.K. Lai, and Prof. Yi-Qing Ni, Prof. Songye Zhu, Dr. Lu Zhou, and Dr. Su-Mei Wang are the Co-PIs of this project.   The project aims to develop a novel multi-stable vibration-driven energy harvesting technique to enable real-time monitoring for high-speed trains.
