PolyU talent shines in Shanghai Expo |

Alumni named among "Ten Outstanding Young Persons" PolyU talent shines in Shanghai Expo PolyU scholar honoured by Chinese Operations Research Society |
(I) Selected works by Hong Kong artists, including those created by Dr Kacey Wong and Mr Hung Keung, both Assistant Professors at PolyU’s School of Design, are now being displayed (from 15 October to 12 November) at the "Legacy and Creations-Art vs Art Exhibition" held at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Shanghai. Dr Kacey Wong’s work – Famiglia Grande (Grand Family) – watch on YouTube Mr Hung Keung’s interactive and video installation work, Dao Gives Birth to One (version II). It has also won the "2009 Hong Kong Contemporary Art Biennial Awards: Achievement Awards" organized by the Hong Kong Museum of Art. Details>> (II) PolyU is one of the four institutions invited to participate in the “No-Carbon” Fashion Show held at the Zero-carbon Pavilion in the Shanghai World Expo. Eleven fashion designers from PolyU’s Institute of Textiles and Clothing showcased their creations, together with those from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, China Central Academy of Fine Arts and Taiwan Shih Chien University.
Details>> (III) PolyU design students also played a role in the Hong Kong Week activities of Shanghai World Expo. Their joint project "Budding Winter", which is an installation art display and interactive art experience, was on display at the Baosteel Stage in the Expo Park's Pudong site from 18 to 22 October.
