A sparkle of PolyU spirit at HK Marathon

A sparkle of PolyU spirit at HK Marathon

For the second year in a row, PolyU has won the Top Prize of Most Supportive Group Award at the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon, setting another new record this year for the event.

On 20 February, the high-spirited 3,300-strong PolyU-Essentiale Running Team was applauded by hundreds of cheering team members from the starting point to the finishing line. For every 20 runners on the track, one was from PolyU!

This year, PolyU President Prof. Timothy W. Tong made his debut participation in the 1.8-kilometre Leaders Cup, ardently supporting our runners and encouraging the PolyU community to live a healthy life.

Special thanks are due to our sponsors - Nike, sanofi aventis, Gatsby and Hung Fook Tong in support of the University’s participation in this event.

In 2010, the enthusiastic participation of the 3,100-runners PolyU team also set a record of the year. Together, we have made history again this year! Details>>

Come share the thrill of ‘Run for u, Run for PolyU’!
