The territory's first ever Study Tour on Space Technology for University Students supported by the China Astronaut Research and Training Center (CARTC) was successfully organized in Beijing from 20 to 25 June. The programme was jointly organized by PolyU, CARTC and Beijing Institute of Technology.

The study tour aimed at deepening university students’ knowledge of national developments, especially in the field of the space technology. About thirty students from Hong Kong’s eight UGC-funded institutions joined the study tour. During the five-day programme, the students had the opportunity to visit the CARTC and the National Astronomical Observatory, meet Chinese astronauts in person and experience their training on site.
