Prof. WB Lee, Chair Professor; Dr Sandy To, Associate Professor; Dr Benny CF Cheung, Associate Professor and Dr Wang Hao, Scientific Officer from the Partner State Key Laboratory of Ultra-precision Machining Technology (PSKL of UMT), Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE), received the 2011 Natural Science Award (Second Class) from the Ministry of Education of the PRC on 29 March 2012. The award was granted in recognition of their remarkable achievements in the studies of basic cutting mechanics and chip formation in ultra-precision machining.
