PolyU is going to name its CD Wing on campus after the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong (CMA) in recognition of CMA’s generous donation of HK$30 million in commemoration of its 80th anniversary. The donation will be used for student development, student exchange programmes and “Service Learning” projects. Also, on 16 January, PolyU and CMA jointly organized the “PolyU CMA 80th Anniversary – Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau International Golf Tournament 2014”. The net proceeds of this fund-raising event will be used in supporting the development of “Service Learning” projects, with the objective of instilling a sense of social responsibility in students through serving the community with their professional knowledge.
