Recently, the HKPolyU-Wuhan University Partner GNSS Research Centre was established at PolyU’s Department of Land Surveying and Geo-Informatics (LSGI) as a platform to share resources and jointly conduct research in Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS). On 20 January, the unveiling ceremony of the Centre was officiated at by PolyU Vice President (Research Development) Ir. Prof. Alex Wai, former President of Wuhan University Prof. Liu Jingnan, and Head of LSGI Prof. Ding Xiaoli. Taking advantages of modern satellite-based positioning and navigation technologies, GNSS provides users with high precision positioning, navigation, velocity and timing information on Earth and even in space.
