Full support for 2009 East Asian Games Celebrities share positive life experience PolyU co-hosts Asia Pacific Optometric Congress Knowledge Cities Summit comes to fruitful close | More than 200 delegates from over 25 countries and territories gathered at Shenzhen from 5 to 6 November to attend The Second Knowledge Cities Summit, jointly hosted by PolyU’s Knowledge Management Research Centre (KMRC), the Shenzhen Academy of Social Sciences and Shenzhen Graduate School of the Harbin Institute of Technology. During the Summit, themed “Emerging Knowledge Cities”, Prof. W.B. Lee, Chair Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering Department and Director of KMRC, was the convenor of the Shenzhen- Hong Kong Innovation Circle Forum. Mr Liu Yingli, former Vice-Mayor of Shenzhen Municipal Government and Science Consultant of Shenzhen Mayor; Mr Anthony Wu, Chairman of the Bauhinia Foundation Research Centre and Chairman of the Hospital Authority; and Dr the Hon. Samson Tam, Member of the Legislative Council of the HKSAR were guest speakers at the session. In addition, the presentation ceremony for The Most Admired Knowledge Cities Awards was organized during the event, in which Shenzhen was awarded the "Outstanding Developing Knowledge City" Award.
